Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
Every Autumn you’ll find the world’s largest hot air balloon festival. This tradition started with only 13 balloons in 1973 and now has more than 500 that participate. This nine-day festival hosts displays of coordinated ballooning, kids activities, and more!
Wheeler Peak Wildnerness
The summit of Wheeler Peak is the highest in New Mexico at 13,161 feet. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife including marmots, elk, deer, and golden eagles that you might just spot while hiking along one of the many trails ranging from four to eight miles long.
