You have a choice between three vessels: The 400 passenger River Queen and the Georgia Queen, both of which have two climate-controlled dining decks and an open-air third deck, and the New Savannah River Queen, a 600 passenger vessel with three dining rooms and bars. These vessels can take you on various tours downriver passing famous landmarks. Whether you’re going alone, a small group, or a large party, you have plenty to marvel at.
North Georgia Wildlife and Safari Park
If you love animals, this is the place for you. There are so many experiences to choose from… Safaris can take you on a tour to view camels, zebras, llamas, ostriches and many more. If you prefer close encounters, you can also caress the babies and even organize a cuddle session with the piglets! Project Penguin also allows you to see the African Black-Footed penguins that have arrived all the way from the South African coast.
Georgia Peach Festival
At this festival, as the name suggests, is all about peaches, peaches, and more peaches! The peach growers are honored by being celebrated at this week-long event where you’ll find a pancake breakfast, vendors serving mouth-watering food, musical performances, and a firework show. The iconic moment though is the final Saturday morning where The World’s Largest Peach Cobbler is presented.
