Interim Supervisor, Laboratory Services - MA

Greenstaff Medical is seeking an Interim Supervisor of Laboratory Services at a 250+ bed facility in Massachusetts. The supervisor will be responsible for the daily operations of all departments and staff on the 2nd and 3rd shift as well as scheduling of staff to provide adequate coverage to ensure patient safety. They are responsible for training new lab staffing for these shifts as well as demonstrating ability to work effectively with staff, management, and other hospital employees to ensure compliance and quality of care. This includes the processing and reporting of laboratory specimens assuring rapid and accurate results, maintaining laboratory records, training, and competency assessment of lab technical staff, ensuring the departments are in compliance with CAP, JCAHO, and other accrediting agencies.

Requirements:

• Education: BS Degree in Medical Technology or related science required
• Experience: 5 years of relevant hospital experience as a Laboratory Supervisor required
• Certifications: ASCP and BLS required
• Licenses: Current Massachusetts state license or licensure eligible required
• Computer Skills: HIS, LIS, and current word processing, spread sheet and presentation (PowerPoint) software applications

All expenses are reimbursable while on assignment including housing, transportation, meal allowance and trips home during the assignment.
